1st Anniversary cum Pre-Vesak Day Ceremony

You are cordially invited to join us to celebrate the 1st
Anniversary of the OBVS cum Pre-Vesak Day celebrations.
In the morning, there will be alms-round (Pindapata) during which devotees can
offer food to the (20) monks gracing the ceremony. They come from various
temples, including the Uttamayamuni Temple, the Satipathana Meditation Centre,
the Burmese Buddhist Temple. We are also very pleased to receive our Chief Abbot
Ven. Dr. K. Dhammasami (DPhil, Oxford) who will address the occasion and give
Dhamma talk & the Most Venerable Ven. Dr. Pannyananda, a member of the State
Sangha Mahanayaka Committee (the highest executive council of the Sangha) from
Myanmar.
We look forward to your participation in our celebration and the sharing of
merits with all beings. Lunch will be provided for all on the day.

02: 15 pm : Cultural performance (communal dance called Ka Pan Gong or Kinnari
Bird Dance
in honor of the Buddha descending from Tavatimsa.)
